Job summary

AiR in South Africa is seeking a senior BI Engineer to design and build scalable data models and reporting layers that empower fintech decision-making. You will own BI dashboards, partner with Data Engineering on pipelines and quality, and translate business needs into actionable data products.

Based in vibrant Cape Town or remote, you will work with a diverse global team on high-impact analytics, leveraging SQL, dbt, Python, and Tableau to drive insights and improvements across the business.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in BI Engineering or Analytics Engineering, preferably in fintech/SaaS.
• Strong SQL, dbt, and data modeling expertise.
• Experience with Tableau or similar BI tools.
• Ability to translate complex business needs into data solutions.
• Experience supporting A/B testing frameworks.
• Python or R for deeper analysis.
