Job summary

Hire Overseas is seeking an Accountant (CaseWare) to prepare annual financial statements for a simulated portfolio of small, owner-managed companies—from the year-end trial balance through the signing pack. Your work will become training data and workflows that an AI accounting system learns from.

This is a long-term, permanent role working directly with the founder and an AI partner on the frontier of AI development in accounting.

Qualifications

• Hands-on CaseWare experience including file setup, trial balance import and mapping, roll-forward, adjusting journals, and updating notes and comparatives.
• Solid grasp of IFRS for SMEs and the Companies Act.
• Comfortable with deferred tax, depreciation, and a company income tax computation.
• Strong Excel skills with lookups, lead schedules, and reconciliations.
• Clear, polite written English for client requests and review responses.
• Genuine interest in AI and breaking accounting work into teachable steps.

Responsibilities

• Prepare annual financial statements from year-end trial balance through signing pack.
• Document steps, decisions, and judgments behind your work for AI training.
• Design and refine AI workflows the accounting process follows.
• Test AI models against your work and help fix them.
• Manage simulated client portfolios and respond to management requests.
