Job summary

Overseas is seeking an Accountant (CaseWare) to prepare annual financial statements for a simulated portfolio of small owner-managed companies. You will document steps, decisions, and judgments to train AI workflows from year-end packs through signing packs, working directly with the founder and an AI partner.

This 100% remote role emphasizes AI-driven accounting processes, with CaseWare licenses and AI training provided to shape how AI learns to do accounting work.

Qualifications

• BCom in Accounting or equivalent qualification.
• 0–2 years of accounting practice experience including AFS prep.
• Hands-on CaseWare experience with file setup, TB import/mapping, roll-forward, notes, and comparatives.
• Working knowledge of IFRS for SMEs and Companies Act.
• Strong Excel skills and English writing for client requests.

Responsibilities

• Check year-end packs and trial balance, bank docs, fixed assets, and loan agreements.
• Match accounts to CaseWare codes and build import files.
• Post year-end journals and tax computations with supporting docs.
• Roll forward CaseWare, update notes and comparatives, prepare signing pack.
• Document steps and judgments for AI training and workflow design.
