Placements24 is seeking a knowledgeable Agronomist to provide expert advice and technical support for agricultural operations around Centurion, Gauteng. The role focuses on optimizing crop yields, soil health, and sustainable farming practices, based on soil and crop analyses and tailored recommendations.

The successful candidate will have a strong scientific background, experience in agronomy, and the ability to work with farm managers to implement effective strategies in diverse environments.

Qualifications

• MSc or BSc in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or related field.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Willingness to conduct fieldwork under varying conditions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct field research and soil analysis to assess crop health and nutrient needs.
• Develop and recommend fertilization, irrigation and pest management strategies.
• Advise farmers and farm managers to maximize yield and quality.
• Monitor crop development and provide timely solutions.
• Stay updated with latest agronomy research and regulations.
• Prepare detailed reports on crop performance and soil conditions.
