Placements24 is seeking an experienced Agronomist to provide expert advice for its Pretoria operations. You will guide crop production, soil health, and nutrient management to maximize yields and promote sustainable farming.

You will work with farmers and farm managers, leveraging plant science, soil chemistry, and pest management knowledge to optimize practices and stay current with industry developments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agronomy, Crop Science, Soil Science, or related field.
• At least 3 years of practical agronomy or crop consulting experience.
• Strong knowledge of SA soil types, climate, and common crop challenges.
• Familiarity with farm management software and data analysis tools is a plus.
• Excellent observational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for presenting technical information.

This role requires a deep understanding of plant science, soil chemistry, and pest management, combined with excellent communication skills to guide farmers and farm managers. Key Responsibilities
