Placements24 is seeking an Agricultural Technology Integration Specialist to bridge advanced ag-tech with day-to-day farming. Based near Randburg, Gauteng with remote flexibility, you will implement, configure, and support farm management software, sensor networks, and data analytics platforms on client sites.

You will collaborate with farmers, agronomists, and engineers to tailor solutions, provide training, and ensure secure, integrated systems. Travelling within Gauteng as needed is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• Minimum 4 years in agricultural technology implementation or IT support.
• Experience with farm management software and IoT/sensor networks.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

About the Role

This role, based with proximity to Randburg, Gauteng , but offering remote flexibility, is crucial for bridging the gap between advanced agricultural technologies and practical farm application. The specialist will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and supporting a range of ag-tech solutions, including farm management software, sensor networks, data analytics platforms, and precision farming equipment. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Agriculture, Agricultural Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in agricultural technology implementation, IT support, or a related role.
• Strong understanding of modern agricultural practices and challenges.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing farm management software (e.g., Cropio, Granular, Trimble Ag).
• Familiarity with IoT devices, sensor networks, and data analytics platforms in an agricultural context.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple client projects.
• Knowledge of GPS, GIS, and remote sensing applications in agriculture is a plus.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed, with a focus on the Gauteng region.
