Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks an experienced Scrum Master to lead two teams within a SAFe Agile Release Train in Randburg, Gauteng. You will remove impediments, coach teams, and ensure timely delivery while fostering continuous improvement across the agile ecosystem.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in Scrum Master roles, strong SAFe knowledge, and hands-on experience with Azure DevOps or JIRA. You’ll collaborate with Product Owners and the Release Train Engineer to drive PI planning and track

Qualifications

• 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master in Agile teams.
• Experience in managing multiple Agile teams, preferably within a SAFe Agile Release Train.
• Sound knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum and Kanban frameworks, and SAFe principles.
• Experience in facilitating Agile ceremonies such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Experience in facilitating PI Planning and helping teams create PI Objectives would be advantageous.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Coach and guide teams within a SAFe Agile Release Train to improve their agile methodologies and adopt the Scrum framework effectively.
• Facilitate team events such as backlog refinement, sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
• Encourage team collaboration and communication, help resolve conflicts and remove impediments.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the teams and train them to adapt to changing requirements.
• Ensure the team follows the SAFe principles, and Agile values to deliver high-quality products on time.
• Track team performance metrics and identify areas of improvement.
• Work with Product Owners to refine and prioritise the product backlog.
• Liaise with the Release Train Engineer and Stakeholders to provide transparency and visibility into the team's progress.
• Continuously improve the Scrum process, tools, and techniques to improve the team's productivity and efficiency.
