Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aftercare Supervisor and Activities Coordinator in Pretoria to manage the after-school program, ensuring a safe, engaging environment for children after school. You will oversee daily operations, supervise children, and plan a variety of enriching activities to promote learning, creativity, and social interaction.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in childcare, youth programming, or related supervisory role.
• Strong organizational and planning abilities to juggle multiple activities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with children, parents, and staff.
• Certification in First Aid and CPR is required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children in aftercare, ensuring safety and wellbeing at all times.
• Develop and implement a diverse activities schedule including homework support, arts and crafts, sports, and educational games.
• Manage daily routines such as snacks and maintain a tidy program space.
• Communicate with parents about the child’s day, attendance, and any needs or concerns.
• Liaise with school administration to ensure smooth coordination and policy adherence.
