Placements24 is seeking an Aftercare Program Coordinator in Sandton, Gauteng to manage daily activities and ensure a safe, engaging after-school environment. You will coordinate with staff, parents and school administration to support children’s social, emotional, and academic development in a nurturing setting.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in childcare, program coordination, or a related field.
• Strong leadership and staff management abilities.
• Excellent organizational and planning skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create engaging and safe activities for children.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid and CPR certification is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities for children in the aftercare program.
• Supervise children, ensuring their safety, well-being, and positive social interaction.
• Coordinate with school administration and teachers regarding student needs and schedules.
• Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress and program updates.
• Manage and support a team of aftercare staff, providing guidance and training.
• Maintain program records, including attendance, incident reports, and developmental observations.
