Job summary

University of Fort Hare in the Western Cape seeks an enthusiastic au pair for a 9-year-old son and 12-year-old daughter (both dyslexic) in Rondebosch. Working hours are Monday–Friday 14h20–18h30, with school holidays 14h00–18h00. This is a permanent contract with ASAP start.

Duties include collecting from school, taking children to activities, supervising homework, running errands, engaging in educational play, preparing meals, and occasional babysitting or weekend work (by prior arrangement).

Qualifications

• Must have 12 consecutive months of formal child caring experience (within last 2 years).
• Must have own reliable car and at least 18 months driving experience.
• Must have 2 contactable childcare references.
• Must have a clear criminal record.
• Must have a passion for children.
• Must have Matric.
• Must have a South African ID document.

Responsibilities

• Collect from school, take to extra murals.
• Assist with and supervise homework.
• Run general family errands.
• Engage in intellectually stimulating play & activities with the children.

A family is looking for an AU PAIR for their son aged 9 years old and daughter aged 12 years old (both dyslexic)

Requirements:Fun with lots of energy. Enjoys being active and is fine with dogs. Creative in teaching and activities, music, and art. Generally well-rounded. Responsible and conscientious. Good driver.
Start date: ASAP start - permanent contract
Salary: Minimum 1 years experience: R9500 per month + SARS rates per km for driving they do for your family (not to get to work and back).
2 years plus experience: R10 000 - R12 000 per month + SARS rates per km
