Job summary

Betway Africa is seeking a Partnerships Team Lead in Melrose Arch, Johannesburg to drive growth across Africa. You will lead strategic partnerships, manage key stakeholders and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver campaigns that grow acquisition, engagement and profitability.

You will develop partnerships with Telcos, retailers and commercial partners, optimize agreements, and lead a team to achieve revenue objectives while traveling as needed to expand opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' client-facing experience in Sales, Account Management or Partnerships.
• Previous team leadership experience.
• Strong sales and marketing background.
• Experience in digital marketing (banner advertising, SEO, SEM, Google Ads, social media).
• Demonstrated experience in negotiating commercial deals and measuring ROI.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and relationship management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on and execution focused.
• Experience within the iGaming, sports betting, affiliate marketing or digital entertainment sectors.
• Strong interest and knowledge of Sports and Casino products.
• Experience attending industry conferences and developing commercial networks.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with a proactive approach to business development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage strategic partnerships across Africa with Telcos, retailers and other partners.
• Grow and maintain relationships with partners through engagement and meetings.
• Review and optimise commercial agreements for maximum value and performance.
• Develop and execute marketing campaigns and partnership strategies to grow customer base.
• Analyse campaign performance, monitor ROI and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with Creative, Fraud Operations and Product teams on initiatives.
• Manage partnership budgets and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Lead, mentor and support the Partnerships team with performance development.
• Identify new business opportunities and innovative partnership channels.
• Provide regular reporting and performance updates to senior stakeholders.
• Travel as required to support growth.
