Job summary

HR Talent Partner SA in Somerset West is recruiting a Quality Engineer for a full-time, permanent role with an aerospace-focused client. The role focuses on meeting aerospace, customer and composite quality requirements from incoming to final release.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, multi-project experience, and travel willingness. Expertise in AS9100D, POA Part 21G, GD&T, composites, and SAP or 1Factory is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from an accredited institution is essential.
• Experience operating in a multi-project environment with different customers is advantageous.
• Ability to work on a global level interfacing with diverse cultures is advantageous.
• Broad manufacturing knowledge covering design, certification and production of aerospace products is advantageous.
• Expertise in GD&T and measuring is advantageous.
• Experience in SAP and 1Factory or equivalents is advantageous.
• Willingness to travel locally and abroad on supplier and customer visits is essential.

Responsibilities

• Have a clear understanding of Aerospace, customer, and composite quality requirements.
• Review and approve inspection instructions to ensure customer expectations are met (incoming, moulding, stage, final).
• Manage requirements to certify and release components to customers.
• Show compliance to customer requirements via compliance matrix.
• Complete FAIs, source inspections and coordinate customer inspections as required.
• Conduct lessons learnt.
• Internal concession signs off & closure.
• Create and close off customer concessions.
• Facilitate FMEA.
