Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Mechanical Systems Engineer to design, integrate, and test complex aerospace systems for next-generation aircraft in Mossel Bay, Western Cape.

The role requires 7–10 years in aerospace, expertise in CAD (CATIA, SolidWorks), FEA (ANSYS, Nastran), and CFD, with a strong focus on safety and regulatory compliance. You will collaborate across manufacturing, QA, and program management teams.

Qualifications

• Requires a Master's or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field.
• 7–10 years of aerospace systems design experience is expected.
• Strong CAD/FEA/CFD capability and aerospace materials knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze mechanical systems for aerospace applications with strict performance and safety standards.
• Perform simulations, including stress, vibration, thermal, and fatigue analyses.
• Integrate mechanical subsystems with avionics, propulsion, and electrical systems.
