Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aerospace Component Inspector to join the QA team in Klerksdorp, North West, South Africa. The role requires meticulous visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections of aerospace parts and assemblies, with emphasis on conformance to drawings, specifications, and AS9100 standards.

A hybrid work arrangement combines on-site and remote days at our Klerksdorp facility. The ideal candidate has at least 4 years of quality inspection experience in aerospace/manufacturing,

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years in quality inspection, aerospace or manufacturing.
• Proficient in reading engineering drawings and specifications.
• Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, CMMs).
• Familiarity with AS9100 standards is advantageous.
• Strong attention to detail and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform visual, mechanical, and electrical inspections of aerospace components.
• Use precision measuring equipment to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Interpret drawings and specifications to assess conformity.
• Document non-conformities and initiate corrective actions.
• Maintain inspection records and reports.
• Ensure compliance with AS9100 and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to drive improvements.
• Support incoming, in-process, and final inspections.
