Job summary

Scholtz Partners International in the Johannesburg area is seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join the Fourways workshop. You will diagnose and repair vehicles to manufacturer standards, identify required parts, and document all work with precision.

The ideal candidate holds a Red Seal Trade Certificate and a National Senior Certificate, with at least 3 years of hands-on experience. Own transport and a valid driver’s license are required for this on-site, permanent position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years' relevant experience in vehicle service/repair.
• Strong diagnostic and repair skills aligned to manufacturer specifications.
• Familiarity with technical manuals, service bulletins, and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and specifications.
• Identify and order correct parts required for service or repairs.
• Report to the Foreman on additional work and obtain authorization before proceeding.
• Adhere strictly to manufacturer technical specifications, torque settings, and fluid requirements.
• Complete accurate, concise job card documentation for all work performed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and ensure proper handling of customer vehicles and belongings.
• Accurately record time worked on time sheets.
• Guide and mentor apprentices/learners in correct workshop practices.
• Maintain own hand tools in good working condition per company standards.

Motor Vehicle Technician

A well-established motor dealership based in Fourways, Sandton is seeking an experienced Motor Vehicle Technician to join their workshop team.

Location: Waterford, Fourways
Working Hours: Monday–Friday 08:00–17:30, Saturdays 08:30–13:00
Position Type: Permanent
Salary: Market-related

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and specifications
