Placements24 is seeking a Product Development Engineer to drive innovation from concept to market using advanced materials. You will lead mechanical design, testing, and validation of new material applications across industries.

The role is hands-on on-site with flexible arrangements and requires collaboration with R&D, manufacturing, and sales to define requirements and ensure successful commercialization.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of product development experience with new materials or applications.
• Strong understanding of metals, polymers, and composites and their behavior.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop products using advanced materials.
• Conduct material characterization and testing to assess properties.
• Perform mechanical design and analysis (CAD/FEA) for reliability.
• Develop prototypes and test fixtures for new material applications.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and sales to define requirements.
• Document design processes, test results, and material specs.
• Troubleshoot material performance issues during development.
• Stay updated on advancements in material science and techniques.
• Contribute to IP through patent disclosures and innovations.
