Job summary

Relay EMS is seeking an Advanced Life Support (ECP) professional to provide pre-hospital ALS care within HPCSA guidelines. The role requires independent clinical decision-making, leadership in emergencies, and contribution to clinical governance.

The ideal candidate holds HPCSA ECP registration, a valid PrDP, a Code 8/10 license, and BLS/ALS experience. Strong communication, teamwork, and ability to work under pressure are essential for on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Registration with the HPCSA as an Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP) is mandatory.
• Must have valid Code 8 or 10 driver’s license and PrDP.
• Matric certificate or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in EMS as BLS/ILS/ALS.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Deliver independent advanced life support care.
• Lead on-scene emergency care teams.
• Maintain patient documentation and PRFs.
• Ensure compliance with HPCSA protocols and organisational guidelines.
• Participate in CPD and clinical governance activities.
