This role applies expert knowledge in the administration of retail retirement funds, specifically in relation to Section 37C of the Pension Funds Act, which governs the distribution of death benefits.
The incumbent leverages in-depth understanding of legislation, regulatory requirements, and retail retirement fund products to manage and resolve complex beneficiary allocation cases.
Responsibilities include interpreting legal provisions, ensuring compliance, and addressing technical challenges of an operational nature. The role is individually accountable for delivering accurate and timely outcomes through own efforts.
Documentation Processing
- Perform complex administrative tasks in accordance with SLA parameters, in a processing environment
- Follows standardised processes in line with normal business functioning

Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- Matric (essential)
- Post-matric qualification in administration, finance, or related field (advantageous)
- Experience in retirement fund administration (preferably 1–2 years)
- Basic understanding of the Pension Funds Act, with exposure to Section 37C processes (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Old Mutual products and administrative processes (e.g., Greenlight, Max Income, Max Investment, Mass Foundation Market and others)
- Familiarity with Old Mutual systems (AWD, BANCS, BIZAGI, EMS, OMUNET, etc.)
- Computer literacy (MS Office) with accurate typing and document handling skills
