Job summary

Guardrisk, a leading short-term insurer and part of Momentum Metropolitan Holdings, is hiring in its Pricing and Solutions team in Sandton. The role focuses on pricing, product development and delivering actuarial insights to support the GGI business.

The successful candidate will work with data scientists, actuaries and underwriters to develop pricing models and robust product offerings, while ensuring commercial viability and compliance.

Qualifications

• Actuarial or math/statistics degree required.
• Associate Actuary or progressing toward Associate exams.
• 2–4 years' relevant work experience.
• Modelling experience.
• Coding in SQL, Python and R advantageous.
• MS Excel/Word knowledge essential.

Responsibilities

• Take accountability for pricing frameworks.
• Coordinate with IT, underwriters, claims and product owners to develop product understandings.
• Support rate reviews and re-pricing for existing products.
• Oversee assessment and approval of new product offerings.
• Review accuracy of teammates' work.
• Improve tools and processes monitoring policy values.
• Investigate deviations and advise on corrective actions.
• Ensure projects adhere to audit and risk management requirements.
• Collaborate with external business support on pricing models.
• Support clients in the design and development of bespoke products.
• Manage financial performance reporting.
• Act as technical advisor to management and external stakeholders.
