Scatec ASA in Cape Town seeks an Accountant for O&M and EPC OpCos. You will deliver accurate accounting, reporting, and payments, reporting to the Senior Accountant and collaborating with operational teams to reflect project performance.

The role covers month-end closes, reconciliations, management reporting, and tax compliance support across multiple entities within a renewable energy portfolio.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent qualification.
• 3–5 years of financial accounting, reporting or audit experience across multiple entities.
• Solid knowledge of IFRS, month-end accounting, reconciliations and financial statements.
• Experience with payments, cash flow forecasting, audit documentation and tax compliance support (VAT, corporate income tax).
• Strong Excel skills and knowledge of ERP and Group reporting systems (Dynamics 365, Cognos, Power BI or Caseware advantageous).
• Clear communication in English and ability to meet deadlines across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Perform month-end accounting and post journals, prepare trial balances within deadlines.
• Prepare bank, intercompany, and balance sheet reconciliations; maintain fixed asset, lease and debt registers.
• Prepare management accounts, group reporting packs and cash flow information with variance explanations.
• Account for O&M revenue and costs; review EPC percentage-of-completion schedules and related journals.
• Validate transactions and project allocations with operational teams; monitor costs and margins.
• Review supplier documentation; coordinate payments and short-term cash flow forecasts.
• Prepare tax workings and statutory reporting schedules; maintain compliance calendars.
• Prepare audit files and annual statements; respond to audit queries and improve controls.
