Job summary

Scatec is seeking an Accountant for O&M and EPC OpCos in Cape Town. You will deliver accurate accounting, reporting and payments across multiple operating companies, reporting to the Senior Accountant and collaborating with project teams.

A strong IFRS background and ERP experience are essential for reliable financial control. In this role you will manage month-end close, bank & intercompany reconciliations, and production of management accounts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of financial accounting, reporting or audit experience.
• Knowledge of IFRS, month-end accounting, reconciliations and statutory reporting.
• Experience with payments, cash flow forecasting, audit docs and tax support.
• Proficient in Excel; knowledge of ERP and Group reporting systems; ERP tools beneficial.
• Strong English communication and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Complete month-end accounting, post journals and prepare trial balances.
• Prepare bank, intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare management accounts, Group reporting packs and cash flow information.
• Account for O&M revenue and EPC costs, review schedules and journals.
• Validate transactions with operational teams and monitor margins.
• Prepare tax workings and statutory reporting schedules; support audits.
