Accredited Resource Consulting Services (Pty) Ltd in Centurion seeks an experienced Accountant (Legal Sector) for the Finance Department on a permanent basis. The role focuses on financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, tax compliance and internal controls to ensure accurate financial information.

The successful candidate will handle month-end processes, liaise with auditors, and contribute to process improvements while maintaining confidentiality and regulatory compliance.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance at NQF Level 7.
• Progress toward SAIPA/ACCA/CIMA/AAT is advantageous.
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience with ERP systems (SAGE Intacct) is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, reconciliations and ledgers.

Introduction

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Accountant to join the Finance Department on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will support financial reporting, budgeting, reconciliations, tax compliance and internal controls, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial information. The role requires strong analytical skills, sound financial knowledge and the ability to meet deadlines while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with applicable policies and regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, journals, reconciliations and general ledger accounts.
• Compile monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with applicable accounting standards and internal requirements.
• Monitor trust interest, investments, refunds and related financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and proper record-keeping.
• Assist with the preparation and monitoring of budgets, forecasts and financial performance analyses.
• Conduct financial reconciliations, investigate discrepancies and implement corrective actions where necessary.
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax requirements, statutory obligations, financial policies and internal controls.
• Prepare supporting documentation and schedules for internal and external audits.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, financial systems and reporting procedures.
• Support payment processing, procurement-related financial activities and verification of supporting documentation.
• Maintain organised financial records and ensure that documentation is complete, accurate and readily accessible.
• Provide financial information and support to management to assist with planning and decision-making.
• Collaborate with colleagues and other departments to resolve financial queries and ensure efficient operations.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field at NQF Level 7.
• A relevant professional accounting qualification, or progress towards one, such as SAIPA, AAT, CIMA, ACCA or an equivalent qualification, will be advantageous.
• At least five years of relevant accounting experience.
• Experience in a regulated environment or a medium-to-large organisation will be advantageous.
• Experience with SAGE Intacct or a similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) system will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of applicable accounting standards, tax requirements, financial controls and regulatory compliance.
