Job summary

The Recruitment Pig is seeking an Accountant in Centurion to take ownership of full-function general ledger accounting, month-end closing, and financial reporting within a supportive team. You will handle supplier invoices, currency transactions, and landed costs while ensuring compliance and timely tax submissions.

Ideal candidates have SAIPA or SAICA affiliation, a relevant accounting degree or diploma, and at least three years of post-articles experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel

Qualifications

• Active SAIPA or SAICA membership/registration.
• Degree or diploma in Financial Accounting or Accounting Sciences.
• Minimum 3 years post-articles commercial accounting experience.
• Experience with multi-currency transactions and landed cost calculations.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP accounting software knowledge.
• Detail-oriented with problem-solving and team-player attitude.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-function general ledger accounting and monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
• Prepare monthly management accounts, variance reports, and rolling cash flow forecasts.
• Process supplier invoices, import payments, and foreign exchange transactions.
• Reconcile inventory records, track stock levels, and calculate landed costs for imports.
• Submit statutory tax returns on time to SARS, including VAT and provisional tax.
• Execute routine bank reconciliations and maintain control of company bank accounts.
• Assist executive leadership with annual budgets and coordinate year-end external audit files.
