Job description

My client, an independent distributor in the IT market, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven sales professional to join their team. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel extensively throughout South Africa and Africa to drive sales growth and expand our customer base.

Main job function
  1. This is a broad role which combines an element of selling and relationship management, often at a senior level, but not exclusively.
  2. As an Account Manager, you will identify sales opportunities.
  3. You will be responsible for building an overall sales pipeline through lead generation, resulting in qualified leads being entered into the Company’s Sales CRM system, with a next call or meeting scheduled.
  4. You will be expected to contact, close, or upsell at least 50% of your accounts each month.
  5. You will contribute your skills to help the company increase sales opportunities within the company. Speak to customers, either face-to-face or over the phone, gain an understanding of their diverse and specific business demands, and find the right technological hardware product to suit their needs.
  6. Deliver effective account management after the sale to help the company become the leading distributor.
Qualifications
  1. Grade 12
  2. At least 5 years of sales experience, ideally focused on B2B sales.
  3. Own car and driver’s license.
  4. IT Knowledge – Non-negotiable.
