Job summary

BairesDev is seeking a Principal Software Engineer - Python/AWS to design and operate the AWS serverless infrastructure behind high-scale products used globally. You will own end-to-end features from design to deployment, containerize services, and implement infrastructure as code.

You\'ll collaborate across teams, leverage Python, AWS Serverless, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, and modern orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes. This is a 100% remote role with flexible hours and USD compensation.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Deep hands-on AWS Serverless experience (Lambda, SQS, SNS, EventBridge, API Gateway).
• Background with PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes or ECS.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform).
• Advanced proficiency in English.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement services on AWS serverless infrastructure.
• Own complete features end to end from design through deployment.
• Containerize and orchestrate services using Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
• Build and maintain infrastructure as code using CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform.
• Design data models across PostgreSQL and DynamoDB.
• Design APIs consumed by web and mobile applications.
