Samaritan's Purse in Venezuela is seeking a Country Representative to lead programs with the national team and partners, overseeing strategy development, field operations, and security coordination.

You will recruit, hire, and supervise staff; collaborate with regional leadership to shape country office vision; represent the ministry to government officials, donors, and local churches; and ensure programs meet accountability standards.

Formación

• Spanish proficiency (reading and writing) required.
• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university with 5–7 years of leadership and international field work experience; or equivalent.
• Master's degree in International Development or related field preferred.
• 12 credit hours of Biblical Studies required; availability to complete if not yet done.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the country office strategy and vision with regional leadership.
• Hire, train, and supervise staff; manage performance and development.
• Represent Samaritan's Purse to government officials, partners, and stakeholders.
• Monitor program progress, financial accountability, and reporting compliance.

We are seeking a Country Representative to join our team in Venezuela. Through humanitarian work, the goal and purpose of Samaritan's Purse are to help people in Jesus' name and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

In the role of Country Representative, you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain a personal, active relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.
• Build and develop a national team alongside the DART team to lead programs targeted to serve the needs of the beneficiary community and the local church.
• Cultivate an environment of continuous development of spiritually healthy field teams.
• In collaboration with the Regional team and country senior management, lead the development and implementation of a country office strategy and vision within the overall Samaritan's Purse mission.
• Professionally represent Samaritan's Purse to key stakeholders, including government officials, local authorities, dignitaries, other NGOs, funding agencies, donors, beneficiaries, and visitors.
• Regularly monitor program progress and financial accountability, ensuring reporting is accurate and proper in accordance with all policies and guidelines.
• Regularly monitor grant progress and alignment, ensuring timely reporting to the Department of State.
• Oversee all aspects of office operations and logistical support to ensure effective use of resources and support personnel for optimal operating capacity.
• Coordinate with the Security department to monitor present and potential security situations and emergencies. Monitor and track potential disasters, both natural and man-made, and keep the Regional team informed of events as well as recommendations/plans for action.
• Interview, hire, and oversee the training of employees; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance; reward and disciplines employees; address complaints and resolve problems; build capacity; and ensure professional development.
• Other duties as assigned.

What are the qualifications?

As a qualified candidate, you will have the following skills and experience:

• Spanish proficiency (reading and writing) required.
• Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university and five (5) to seven (7) years' related leadership and international field work experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Master's degree in International Development or related field preferred.
• 12 credit hours of college-level Biblical Studies (required); if not already completed, an opportunity to meet and complete the requirement is available upon hire.
