Job summary

Siemens Energy, Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Field Service Engineer to perform advanced maintenance and troubleshooting on gas turbines, steam turbines, and generators across Venezuela and the region.

You will lead field teams, coordinate site activities, and deliver high-quality technical support while ensuring safety and compliance. Strong English skills and up to 80% travel are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Field Service Engineer for rotating equipment.
• Strong knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines, generators and related systems.
• Experience leading field activities and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficient English communication, written and spoken.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 80%.

As a Mechanical Field Service Engineer, you will perform complex and technically demanding field service activities on Gas Turbines, Steam Turbines, and Generators across customer sites in Venezuela and throughout the region. You will be responsible for supporting planned and unplanned maintenance activities, troubleshooting mechanical systems, coordinating field resources, and ensuring safe and efficient project execution. Working closely with customers and internal stakeholders, you will provide technical expertise while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.

Please note: This position is based in Maracaibo, Venezuela. Candidates should be willing to reside in or relocate to the area as required by the business.

How You'll Make an Impact

• Lead and support field service teams, technicians, and contractors during installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities for gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, and auxiliary systems.
• Coordinate on-site project execution, ensuring appropriate staffing, efficient resource allocation, and compliance with customer contract requirements.
• Provide technical expertise and recommendations to customers, project teams, management, and suppliers regarding equipment condition, repairs, and maintenance strategies.
• Prepare technical reports, service documentation, maintenance records, check sheets, and safety documentation for planned and unplanned outages.
• Ensure compliance with Siemens Energy EHS, Quality, and Integrated Management System requirements while promoting a strong safety culture.
• Identify business development and service opportunities that contribute to customer satisfaction and company growth.

What You Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Mechanical Field Service Engineer supporting rotating equipment within power generation, industrial, or energy environments.
• Strong technical knowledge of gas turbines, steam turbines, electrical generators, and associated auxiliary systems, including maintenance and troubleshooting activities.
• Experience leading field activities, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, preparing technical documentation, and managing customer-facing service projects.
• Professional working proficiency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 80% of the time, including short-notice assignments when required.
