Job summary

Gold's Gym in Kirkland, WA is seeking a Group Exercise Zumba/Dance Fitness Instructor for part-time hours. You will lead energetic group classes, ensure safety, and act as a resource on fitness topics for members.

The role focuses on proper form, class flow, music selection, and creating a motivating, inclusive environment. Certification in the program and CPR/First Aid are required, with opportunities for advancement and staff collaboration.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe dance exercise technique and group exercise principles.
• Knowledge of basic physiology and body mechanics.
• Performance of a variety of exercise routines.
• Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills.
• Certification required in the Group Exercise Instructor's program(s).
• Current CPR certification and basic first aid training required.

Responsibilities

• Arrive 10 minutes early to interact with members and orient new participants.
• Ensure proper attire and assist with music preparation for class.
• Introduce the class format and gauge first-timers' fitness levels.
• Monitor participants for correct form and offer variations for all levels.
• Create a motivational and fun environment throughout the class.
• Return equipment to proper settings and prepare room for next class.
• Follow closing procedures and coordinate substitutes when needed.
• Attend staff meetings and record clock-in/out procedures.
• Promote Gold's Gym and GGX to members.
