Job summary

City of Little Rock is seeking a Zoo Safety Ranger to promote a safety culture and support the Safety and Training Coordinator in day-to-day safety operations at the zoo. You will respond to emergencies with guests or staff and help ensure a safe environment.

Requirements include a high school diploma, at least one year of experience in safety, security, or law enforcement, plus first aid, CPR, and AED certification. OSHA 10 hour or equivalent training may be obtained after employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with continuing education training.
• At least 1 year of experience in occupational safety and health or security or law enforcement; 1 year of computer experience.
• Certification in First Aid, CPR, and AED; OSHA 10 hour course or suitable safety training (may be obtained after employment).

Responsibilities

• Respond to emergencies with guests or staff.
• Perform safety audits and incident investigations.
• Patrol grounds to ensure safety and security for guests and staff.
• Assist Safety and Training Coordinator in safety operations.
