Job summary

Nashville Zoo seeks a Safety & Security Manager to lead emergency medical, security, tram driver, and parking staff, ensuring park assets are protected and that guests, employees, and animals stay safe.

Under the Director of Environmental Health and Safety, you will help develop and maintain the Nashville Zoo Emergency Plan and Environmental Safety Programs, conduct weekly safety audits, and coordinate safety coverage during events.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree required.
• State of Tennessee Security Officer License required.
• EMT certification is a plus, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and oversight to emergency medical, security, tram driver, and parking staff.
• Oversees first aid and emergency response for guests and employees.
• Supports creation, implementation and maintenance of the Emergency Plan and Environmental Safety Programs.
• Performs weekly facility safety audits and ensures safety equipment inspections.
