Job summary

Nashville Zoo seeks a qualified Maintenance Electrician to perform skilled electrical repairs and support for park facilities, exhibits, and buildings in Nashville, TN. Flexibility for early/late starts, weekends, and holidays is required to meet zoo operating needs.

Responsibilities include inspecting components, using testers, completing work orders, and documenting materials. A valid driver's license and at least four years in electrical work are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED required.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• Minimum four years of electrical field experience.

Responsibilities

• Inspect electrical components including transformers and circuit breakers.
• Use testing devices to identify and report electrical problems.
• Complete work orders on time and create records of materials used.
• Prepare conduits and connect wiring; maintain park-wide power distribution.
• Adhere to safety protocols and zoo SOPs.
• Assist other departments and maintain clean, organized tool areas.
• Ensure director is informed of urgent electrical issues.
