Job summary

Houston Zoo is seeking a Guest Service Attendant to welcome and assist visitors, manage large groups of students and chaperones, and support safe, enjoyable experiences at the zoo. You will help with check-in, parking, and crowd flow, while sharing stories about wildlife conservation and the zoo's mission.

The role emphasizes friendly customer service, adherence to rules, and collaboration with Rangers and event teams to deliver impactful experiences for guests and students alike.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required or 1–3 months related experience/training.
• Experience with guest/customer relations; ability to respond to safety concerns and guest complaints.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist guests in a friendly, informative manner and provide directions and event information.
• Assist with organizing school groups, parking, and entrance/exit flow for smooth zoo visits.
• Monitor safety rules and guest behavior; communicate with Ranger team via radio as needed.
• Support special events and daily operations to ensure a positive guest experience.
