Job summary

Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) in the Bronx Zoo is seeking a Zoological Park Attendant to support maintenance operations. Under supervision, you will perform routine tasks to maintain facilities and services in the zoo environment.

The role requires outdoor work in all weather, with weekend and holiday shifts. A HS diploma is preferred, and gardening experience is helpful for daily duties. This is a union, full-time position in the Maintenance department.

Qualifications

• Gardening experience is helpful.
• HS Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).
• Employee must be able to work Saturdays & Sundays & all holidays.

Responsibilities

• May clean or patrol public buildings, property, and structures of assigned areas thereof, performing maintenance duties to keep order and cleanliness.
• Performs incidental minor clerical work.
• Performs related work as required.
