Job summary

Berlin Township is seeking a professional, detail-oriented Zoning Inspector to oversee zoning administration and code enforcement throughout the Township. This role protects public safety, supports responsible development, and ensures compliance with Township zoning regulations.

You will review permits, conduct inspections, investigate complaints, and provide guidance while maintaining accurate records; reporting to the Director of Zoning.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; two years of general office experience preferred.
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google products.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions regarding zoning of parcels.
• Perform weekly inspections for zoning compliance and violations.
• Provide updates to the Board on zoning department activities.
• Inform the public of zoning code requirements.
• Process zoning applications and amendments for changes, variances, appeals, and conditional uses.
