Job summary

Plymouth Township, a Home Rule Municipality in Montgomery County, PA, seeks a qualified Zoning Officer to manage day-to-day zoning administration, issue permits, review land use plans, and enforce the zoning ordinance.

The officer works under the Planning and Zoning Director, supports reports, and must have strong knowledge of MPC, UCC, and state/federal regs; evening meetings and site visits may be required.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of zoning and land development.
• Strong knowledge of the MPC, UCC, and applicable regulations.
• Excellent communication and ability to present before boards.
• 3–5 years of municipal zoning or related experience; degree preferred.
• Able to interpret ordinances and technical reports.

Responsibilities

• Administer and enforce the Township’s Zoning Ordinance.
• Issue zoning permits and conduct zoning reviews.
• Maintain records and enforce compliance.
• Provide technical support to the Planning and Zoning Director.
• Attend evening meetings and site inspections as needed.
