Liberty County Board of Commissioners in Georgia seeks a dependable Code Enforcement Officer to promote compliance with county codes, zoning rules, and property maintenance standards within the Building & Licensing Department. This position also processes mobile homes delinquencies and helps maintain safe, attractive communities.

You will perform inspections to verify code compliance, issue citations, prepare reports, and assist with disaster preparedness and office duties.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of county nuisance and zoning ordinances.
• Knowledge of Georgia laws and mobile home procedures.
• Skilled in reading plats, site plans, and maps.
• Ability to prepare reports and conduct inspections.

Responsabilités

• Inspects zoning compliance and land development regulations.
• Investigates complaints of zoning code violations and participates in court hearings.
• Issues citations for violations and delinquencies.
• Prepares and sends letters to property owners about violations.
• Maintains files of complaints and status reports; assists with office duties.
• Performs on-site inspections to determine compliance with litter and safety rules.
