Job summary

The Campbell's Company in Hartford, CT is seeking a Zone Sales Manager to lead a team of Market Development Leaders and drive distribution, sales, merchandising and promotions across Campbell Snacks brands.

You will develop the zone business strategy, engage Independent Distributor Partners, coach MDLs, and strive to deliver $100MM+ revenue while optimizing routes, trade spend and retailer relationships.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required.
With Bachelor’s degree, 5+ years of Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) or Direct Store Delivery (DSD) sales experience.
Without Bachelor’s degree, minimum 10 years of CPG or DSD sales experience.
Minimum 2 years managing and influencing sales teams.
DSD route to market, warehouse experience is a plus.
Excellent leadership and communication skills.
Must be a strategic thinker with operational and retail knowledge.

Responsibilities

Lead MDL team to achieve distribution, sales, merchandising and promotional targets.
Develop route infrastructure and account plans with IDPs across multiple geographies.
Grow retailer relationships and secure retail space for new items.
Coach MDLs and optimize field execution to meet zone goals.
Analyze market trends and adjust plans to maximize share and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-functional partners to align on strategy and execution.
