Job summary

Airgas in Houston seeks a Zone Maintenance Planner to manage TAR projects from planning through execution, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires mechanical engineering background, 5+ years in TAR/project engineering, and strong procurement planning skills.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Safety, Engineering and Operations, driving TAR schedules and budgets, and reporting progress to the steering team. Travel up to 25% is required.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of TAR management or project engineering experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Maximo/I-Procurement.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to work with all levels of personnel.
• Experience supervising projects from $250K to $10MM.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety, environmental and regulatory compliance.
• Lead TAR planning and execution, including HSE, contracting and procurement strategy.
• Coordinate inter-discipline interfaces for TAR (Safety, Engineering, Controls & Operations).
• Develop detailed TAR execution plans and schedules; manage cost and scope.
• Provide cost and schedule reporting; conduct post-TAR reviews and zone forecasts.
