Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin is seeking an Administrative Program Coordinator in Facilities Services to oversee the student intern program for Zero Waste initiatives across campus and JJ Pickle Research Campus. You’ll supervise interns, help design and manage programs, develop education materials, and provide event support and reporting tools.

Strong organizational skills, ability to lift 50 pounds, and a bachelor’s degree with related experience are required; experience with waste programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus one year of directly related experience working with students or in a sustainability program.
• Student leadership experience will count toward the one year of experience.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work with waste including recycling, landfill, compost, and batteries.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the student intern program, including hiring, training, supervision, and performance feedback.
• Design, implement, and maintain zero waste initiatives, documentation, and reporting tools; assist with waste audits and event support.
• Develop materials and engage campus stakeholders to increase diversion; provide prompt technical assistance and training.
