Job summary

University of Texas at Austin on the Main Campus seeks an Administrative Program Coordinator to support Zero Waste efforts, supervise student interns, and drive program initiatives. You will coordinate with the Senior Zero Waste Coordinator on audits, waste bin labeling, and event support, while mentoring student staff.

The role includes developing outreach materials, training, and content for the @utzerowaste channels, with occasional overtime to meet campus goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree plus one year of directly related experience working with students or in a sustainability program.
• Student leadership experience will count toward the one year of experience.
• Ability to work in all weather conditions and around bees.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Class "C" Texas driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the student intern program, including hiring, training, supervision, and performance feedback.
• Partner with the Senior Zero Waste Coordinator to design, implement, and maintain zero waste initiatives, documentation, and reporting tools.
• Develop materials and engage students, staff, and faculty to increase diversion on campus; represent the department professionally.
• Occasional overtime is required to support organizational goals and objectives.
