Job summary

Cognizant in the United States seeks an experienced Zero Trust Security Architect to design, implement, and optimize secure connectivity across cloud and hybrid environments.

You will lead ZTNA and Zscaler deployments (ZIA/ZPA), cloud VPN, SASE/SSE, and identity-aware access models, partnering with cloud, security, and infrastructure teams.

The role requires 8+ years in security architecture, strong leadership, and relevant certifications; salary ranges from $134,000 to $154,500 plus incentives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Security/Enterprise Architecture roles.
• Expertise in Zero Trust and ZTNA concepts.
• Hands-on with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA and cloud connectivity.
• Experience with multi-cloud security and identity systems.
• Strong leadership, stakeholder management and comms.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain Zero Trust architectures across identity, endpoints, apps, networks, and data.
• Architect secure connectivity including cloud VPN, site-to-site VPN, and remote access.
• Design and optimize ZSCALER ZIA/ZPA, DLP, and traffic enforcement.
• Define least-privilege access models and security frameworks.
• Lead integration planning for new platforms and M&A initiatives.
• Develop standards, reference architectures, and implementation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering and security teams to embed controls.
• Evaluate Zscaler, SASE, SSE, and VPN technologies for business needs.
• Provide oversight and guidance to ensure regulatory and security alignment.
• Define security metrics and drive continuous improvement.
