Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Zero Trust Security Architect to drive secure connectivity strategies across global cloud and hybrid environments. The role emphasizes ZTNA, Zscaler, SASE, and SSE to enable secure operations and support M&A integration initiatives.

You will lead architecture governance, collaborate with cloud engineering and security teams, and define secure, identity-aware access models with least-privilege principles.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in Security Architecture or related roles.
• Deep expertise in Zero Trust, ZTNA, and secure connectivity.
• Hands-on with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, DLP, and policy management.
• Experience with cloud VPN, hybrid networking, and cloud security.
• Understanding of SASE, SSE, and modern network security.
• Experience in multi-cloud environments (AWS/Azure).
• Knowledge of identity systems, MFA, and RBAC.
• Experience supporting M&A security integration projects.
• Certifications such as CISSP or equivalent are desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise Zero Trust architectures across identities, apps, networks, and data.
• Architect secure connectivity including cloud VPN, remote access, and ZTNA models.
• Implement and optimize Zscaler capabilities (ZIA, ZPA) and DLP controls.
• Define identity-aware access models using least-privilege principals.
• Lead security integration planning for new platforms and initiatives.
• Support mergers and acquisitions with target-state architecture planning.
• Conduct threat modeling and architecture reviews focused on data protection.
• Produce architecture standards, reference designs, and implementation roadmaps.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and engineering teams to embed controls.
