Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an experienced Zero Trust Security Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of secure connectivity solutions across global cloud and hybrid environments. The role focuses on ZTNA, Zscaler, cloud VPN, SASE, and SSE to enable secure business operations and support integration initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience in Zero Trust architectures across cloud and identity-aware networking.
• Hands-on with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA, DLP, policy management, and cloud-delivered security services.
• Experience designing enterprise cloud VPN, remote access, and hybrid-cloud networks.
• Strong leadership, architecture documentation, and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise Zero Trust security architectures across identities, endpoints, apps, networks, and data.
• Architect secure connectivity including cloud VPN, site-to-site VPN, remote access, ZTNA, and hybrid-cloud models.
• Implement and optimize Zscaler capabilities (ZIA, ZPA, DLP) and enforce security policies.
• Define identity-aware access models based on least-privilege and Zero Trust frameworks.
• Lead integration planning for new platforms and enterprise tech initiatives.
• Drive M&A security integration, discovery, segmentation, and migration planning.
• Develop architecture standards, reference architectures, and reusable artifacts.
• Collaborate with cloud engineering, infrastructure, security, and applications teams to embed controls and governance.
• Evaluate Zscaler, SASE, SSE, VPN, and Zero Trust technologies against business and security needs.
