Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Illumio Zero Trust Platform Engineer to lead the design, deployment, configuration, and optimization of Illumio Core and Illumio Edge across on‑premises, virtualized, and cloud environments.

You will develop segmentation policies, labeling frameworks, and zone boundaries, integrate Illumio with SIEM/SOAR/CMDB, build workflows and dashboards, onboard workloads with application owners, and ensure policy governance aligned with Zero Trust and NIST 800-207.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cybersecurity/cloud security/infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years Linux/Windows, virtualization, and cloud environments.
• 2+ years in regulated mission-critical environments (finance, healthcare, federal, energy).

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, configure, and optimize Illumio Core and Edge across on-prem, virtualized, and cloud environments.
• Develop Illumio workflows, runbooks, dashboards, and segmentation models; integrate with SIEM, SOAR, CMDB, and cloud controls.
• Analyze traffic flow with VEN telemetry; build policy recommendations to reduce attack surface and prevent east-west movement; troubleshoot performance and health.
• Onboard workloads with application owners; support change management; perform lifecycle management and policy governance.
• Align Illumio policy models with Zero Trust and NIST 800-207; contribute to standards, documentation, and playbooks.
