Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton seeks a skilled Illumio Zero Trust Platform Engineer to lead design, deployment, and optimization of Illumio Core and Edge across on-premises, virtualized, and cloud environments. You will implement Zero Trust segmentation, map dependencies, and develop runbooks, dashboards, and segmentation models for enterprise workloads.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, or infrastructure engineering.
• 3+ years of Linux or Windows systems, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), and cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• 2+ years building solutions for regulated mission-critical environments (finance, healthcare, federal, energy).
• 1+ years of infrastructure automation experience.
• 1+ years of experience with REST APIs, scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Active Secret clearance.
• Associates/Bachelors/Masters with relevant IT project experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, deployment, configuration, and optimization of Illumio Core/Edge across environments.
• Develop policies and segmentation models; map dependencies and labeling.
• Integrate Illumio with SIEM, SOAR, CMDB, C2C, vulnerability scanners, and cloud controls.
• Collaborate with application owners; onboard workloads and validate segmentation plans.
• Conduct traffic flow analysis and assist in policy recommendations to reduce attack surface.
• Lifecycle management including upgrades, health checks, and policy governance.
