ASSA ABLOY Opening Solutions Americas is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to implement and operate a Zero Trust segmentation program using Illumio. You will work with IT, cloud, and OT teams to reduce risk and protect Crown Jewel assets in a New Haven, CT environment.

The role emphasizes hands-on platform administration, policy development, dependency analysis, workload onboarding, and ongoing security improvements. On-call readiness and collaboration across security tools are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
• 3–5 years of cybersecurity, infrastructure, or security engineering experience.
• Availability to be on-call for off-hour emergencies.
• Experience with network security, firewalls, server administration, security operations.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking, DNS, Active Directory, Windows and Linux administration, cloud networking fundamentals.
• Experience troubleshooting application communication issues.

Responsibilities

• Administrate and maintain Illumio platform components (PCE, VENs) and agents across Windows/Linux.
• Analyze traffic flows and map application dependencies to support workload onboarding.
• Develop and manage segmentation policies and admin access controls.
• Maintain workload labeling and asset inventory data for segmentation accuracy.
• Support segmentation across Azure, hybrid, on-prem, and hosted environments.
• Assist OT teams with micro-segmentation in manufacturing environments.
• Monitor segmentation coverage, produce reports, and drive improvements.
• Develop automation scripts and use APIs to streamline onboarding, reporting, and policy management.
