Job summary

Leidos Digital is seeking a Journeyman Cyber Security Engineer (Microsoft) to support USSOCOM's Zero Trust initiative. You will engineer and operate Microsoft security solutions across identity, endpoint, data, and security operations, collaborating with senior staff to deliver secure, compliant solutions.

You will manage deployments of Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID, and Logic Apps, tune analytics, and help maintain RMF artifacts while supporting threat detection and incident

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI).
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering, or related field; 4–8 years may substitute for a degree.
• 3+ years of experience in enterprise cybersecurity or systems engineering.
• Experience administering Microsoft enterprise security solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Purview, Entra ID, Logic Apps, and Behavior Analytics.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft security technologies within the Zero Trust architecture.
• Deploy and administer Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID, Logic Apps, and related services.
• Configure analytics rules, dashboards, alerts, and automation workflows for threat detection.
• Support UEBA and SOAR capabilities using Microsoft security platforms.
• Integrate security telemetry from Microsoft and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with ISSOs, engineers, and stakeholders on Zero Trust initiative.
• Support RMF activities, documentation updates, and ATO artifacts.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments, system hardening, and STIGs.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and assist with operations.
• Participate in investigations, incident response, and security monitoring.
• Document engineering procedures and configurations.
• Recommend improvements to security monitoring and automation.
