Job summary

Leidos in Tampa, FL seeks a Journeyman Cyber Security Engineer (Microsoft) to support USSOCOM's EDAT Zero Trust initiative. You will help implement and maintain Microsoft security technologies across identity, endpoint, data and operations.

Working with senior engineers, configure Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID, Logic Apps and UEBA to strengthen DoD visibility and analytics while supporting RMF artifacts and STIGs.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Engineering or 8140 certification.
• One of the DoD 8140 Certifications: SecurityX / CASP+, CCSP, Cloud+, CSC, GCLD, GCSA, or GSEC.
• Three or more years of experience supporting enterprise cybersecurity and Microsoft security platforms.
• Experience administering or supporting Microsoft enterprise security solutions.
• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Defender XDR, Purview, Entra ID, Logic Apps or Behavior Analytics.
• Experience supporting SIEM, SOAR, UEBA, or security monitoring operations.
• Windows and Linux operating systems knowledge.
• Familiarity with RMF documentation or cybersecurity compliance.
• Knowledge of DISA STIGs.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation, configuration, and maintenance of Microsoft security technologies within the Zero Trust architecture.
• Assist with deployment and administration of Microsoft Sentinel, Defender, Purview, Entra ID, Logic Apps, and related services.
• Configure analytics rules, dashboards, alerts, and automation workflows for threat detection and response.
• Support UEBA and SOAR capabilities using Microsoft platforms.
• Assist with integrating security telemetry from Microsoft and third-party systems.
• Collaborate with ISSOs, cybersecurity engineers, and government stakeholders on Zero Trust.
• Support RMF artifacts, security controls, and ATO lifecycle.
• Assist with vulnerability assessments and DISA STIG implementation.
• Troubleshoot platform issues and operational challenges.
• Participate in investigations, incident response, and security monitoring.
