Job summary

VeriDex Solutions is seeking a lead Azure Cloud Architect to design and implement a Zero Trust–aligned security architecture across a multi-subscription Azure enterprise environment, focusing on AI Foundry, AKS, Microsoft Fabric, and the broader Azure tenant.

You will define the security blueprint, enforce governance, enable policy-driven controls, and ensure workloads meet enterprise and regulatory standards, with full compliance to NIST/ISO/SOC 2/NAIC NYDFS requirements.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in cloud architecture with deep Azure expertise.
• Proven experience implementing Zero Trust in enterprise environments.
• Hands-on with AKS, Microsoft Fabric, AI Foundry or Azure ML.
• Strong understanding of network segmentation, identity governance, and data protection.
• Experience with policy-driven deployments (OIDC, CI/CD) and security controls.

Responsibilities

• Architect and implement a Zero Trust security model across identity, network, data, and workloads.
• Define Azure management group hierarchy, subscription strategy, and landing zones aligned to controls.
• Implement Conditional Access, PIM, Identity Governance, and segmented identity boundaries.
• Lead rollout of Azure Policy, policy initiatives, RBAC, and custom role definitions for least-privilege.
• Establish secure-by-default patterns for cloud services.
• Architect secure Fabric workspaces, pipelines, and lakehouses.
• Ensure alignment with data residency, retention, and insurance regulatory requirements.
