Job summary

Balfour Beatty Construction is seeking a Superintendent for our special projects group. The Superintendent is responsible for all field operations, including the coordination of subcontractors’ work and the Safe Zero Harm program on the job site.

This role supports the project manager in preconstruction planning and ensuring on-time, on-budget project delivery. The position requires strong supervisory skills, schedule development, and effective cost control, with a focus on quality and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 7 years or more of commercial construction field experience.
• 3 years of direct supervisory experience related to staff and subcontractor management.
• Proficiency with PC and company tools (Procore, Bluebeam, Navisworks, Microsoft Office); creating and maintaining schedules in P6 is a plus.
• Ability to read plans and specs.
• Scheduling experience (prefer P6).
• OSHA 30.
• Ability to work night shift if needed.

Responsibilities

• Safety: ZERO HARM culture leadership and enforcement on site.
• Oversee field operations and coordinate subcontractors’ work.
• Participate in preconstruction with Project Manager and owner.
• Develop and maintain overall project schedule; lead schedule updates.
• Lead weekly subcontractor meetings and manage project communications.
• Monitor budget, cost events, and project financials.
• Support project quality control, inspections, and closeout.
